Jason N. Barglow
Jason N. Barglow is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP, where his practice is focused on advising clients with respect to all types of commercial and residential real estate transactions and issues, including acquisitions, dispositions, land use, construction, lending and finance, development, and leasing. Mr. Barglow also advises clients on all manner of real estate issues arising in connection with the financing, construction, and development of alternative energy projects, including acquisition of site and development rights and permitting and entitlement issues. He is vice chair of the firm’s Real Estate Practice and is a member of the Energy Industry Team and the Transactional & Securities Practice.
Mr. Barglow earned his J.D. from the University of Southern California, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. He graduated with a B.A. from the University of California – San Diego. Mr. Barglow is admitted to practice in California and he holds a real estate broker license issued by the California Department of Real Estate. In addition, he is certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
John A. Eliason
John A. Eliason is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he focuses his practice on assisting clients with completing transactions that rely on tax and other federal and state incentives such as investment tax credits, production tax credits, bonus depreciation, and U.S. Treasury grants. Mr. Eliason helps clients utilize sale-leasebacks, flip partnerships, and other tax-driven structures to maximize benefits available to investors. He regularly represents both financial institutions and project developers engaged in wind, solar, and other renewable energy transactions. He also has significant experience representing participants in hospitality and other real estate development activities. He is a member of the firm’s Energy Industry Team, as well as the Real Estate, Taxation, and Transactional & Securities Practices.
Mr. Eliason earned an LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law and graduated with a J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law. He completed his B.A. in economics at The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Eliason is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, New York, and Texas.
